Benefits of Trees and Shrubs
Trees and shrubs play such an important role in the health of our environment. They provide shelter, shade, and food for us and our local wildlife. In urban areas, trees filter air, removing harmful pollutants and improving air quality. They also play a huge role in sequestering carbon from the atmosphere. It is our job to make sure our trees and shrubs are adequately maintained so they can live long, healthy lives.
Here in Colorado, we often experience high winds and extreme weather. When trees are not properly planted or pruned to ensure structural integrity, large limbs can fail inflicting damage to property and posing major safety concerns. Pruning can save money and lives!

Pruning
Structural pruning can be best accomplished while a tree is still young. Once your tree is established, it may be necessary to perform a variety of pruning methods to ensure a healthy and beautiful tree for many years to come. Our goals are to remove dead or diseased wood, create good spacing between branches, promote strong attachment angles, and to create a dominant central leader.

Home Orchard Pruning
Fruit trees are pruned in a much different way than many of our other landscape trees, and it can vary from one species of fruit tree to another. Our main objectives are to keep the tree small enough so all the fruit can be harvested, to create sturdy branches so they don’t break under the weight of the fruit, and to promote great tasting fruit every year by using the thinning method.

Planting
Before the planting begins, one must consider the planting site, the tree selection, and irrigation, among many other factors. During planting and after installation, there are a number of steps that must be followed in order to give your new tree it’s best chance at a long, healthy life.
Planting trees is such a great way to add beauty and value to your property, while benefitting wildlife and the local climate.

Removals
Trees, like any organism have a limited life span. There comes a time that we may need to remove a tree on our property due to death or disease, among other reasons. Tree removal can be a dangerous task, and attempting to do so without proper training can result in damage to property or personal injury. You can trust us to safely remove your small to medium-sized trees.
